D-Back Names Early Favorites

Harvey (Ill.) Thornton has four D-1 prospects in 2003. Two of them have the 'Cats on their list of early favorites including this safety prospect.

Comments - One of the top defensive back prospects in the Land of Lincoln. Plays for one of the top football programs in the state, several Thornton grads are in the NFL, including Antwaan Randle El (Steelers) and Napoleon Harris (Raiders).

“I don’t have any offers right now,” Hudson said. “I’m getting letters from Northwestern, Iowa, Illinois, Cincinnati and Bowling Green.

“My favorites are Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Purdue, Oklahoma, Penn State and Northwestern.

“I haven’t decided on any camps yet. I’ll be doing a lot of 7 on 7 stuff with my team.”

Hudson had two interceptions as a junior. Eric lettered in baseball as a freshman and as a sophomore.
