“It was just one of those things where I felt comfortable,” Abrahamson told Scout.com National Recruiting Analyst Evan Daniels. “I really liked the players and I met them all last night. The combination of academics and athletic is second to none.”
Abrahamson (6-7, 187) also had offers from Boston College, Creighton, Iowa, Iowa State, Nebraska, Seton Hall, Stanford, and Wake Forest. On Tuesday, just one day after his visit, he confirmed to Northwestern coaches that he wants to be a Wildcat.
On Monday, Abrahamson visited Northwestern's campus for the second time in a three-week span. He received a tour from NU coaches and met with some Wildcat players.
“I went up there once before, but I felt like I needed a longer visit and more time to hang out with their guys," Abrahamson told Daniels.
Overall, Abrahamson said he's thrilled of his decision to become a Wildcat.
“I’m really excited,” Abrahamson said. “You always feel had for all the other schools, but it feels great to have it done and now I can focus on the high school season now.”
With this commitment, Northwestern now has three members to their 2012 recruiting class. Abrahamson joins Alex Olah and Sanjay Lumpkin, who committed on Friday.
