NU Guard Morgan Jones To Transfer Publisher

Northwestern guard Morgan Jones, a former McDonald's All-American, will transfer from the NU women's basketball program.

Northwestern freshman guard Morgan Jones (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) will transfer from the NU women's basketball program, she confirmed to on Sunday.

Jones, a McDonald's High School All-American, has informed her teammates and coaches of the decision, though has not made her future intentions clear yet.

In her freshman season, Jones started in 29 of the Wildcats' 30 games, averaging 13.9 points per game.

Northwestern also loses Jones's older sister, Tailor, a senior, who played one season with the Wildcats after transferring from Florida prior to the 2009 season.

The Wildcats finished the 2011-12 season with a record of 14-16.
