Nwabuisi named to Butkus Watch List

Northwestern senior linebacker David Nwabuisi was named to the Butkus Award Watch List, as a potential candidate to win the award given to the nation's best linebacker.

David Nwabuisi could be on the verge of a breakout season, and many are taking notice. The Northwestern senior linebacker was named to the Butkus Award Watch List.

As a junior, his first season as a starter, Nwabuisi posted 84 tackles, including 8.5 tackles for a loss, plus added two forced fumbles.

Nwabuisi, a native of Houston, TX., is one of nine Big Ten linebackers on the Butkus watch list.
