Florida LB sees good times ahead

Anthony Walker is a talented linebacker prospect from Monsignor Pace High in Miami and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Anthony Walker and his teammates saw their season come to an end recently. Walker had a strong season on the defensive side of the ball.

"It went good," Walker said. "I finished with 97 tackles, three sacks, 15 TFL's, one interception, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and eight catches for 150 yards and a touchdown."

Walker, 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, made an early commitment to Northwestern and remains pledged to the Wildcat program.

"I think they should be undefeated," he said when asked about their current season. "They had a couple of bad breaks. But I'm impressed."

Walker, who says no other schools have continued recruiting him recently, talked about the direction of the program over the next few years.

"I think it's great and I can't wait to be apart of it," he said.

Walker, one of the top linebacker prospects in Dade County in the 2013 class, also held early offers from schools like Minnesota and Purdue.
