Cameron Green becomes third receiver commit

2015 WR Cameron Green of Lincolnshire (Ill.) Stevenson became the third wideout commit to Northwestern in a 24-hour window. He's the 15th for NU.

Cameron Green's known about Northwestern since he was a kid. He committed to NU on Monday—and made his official announcement Tuesday.

Green, a speedster from nearby Lincolnshire, Ill., committed to NU over Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and Illinois Tuesday.

He becomes the third wide receiver to join Northwestern's impressive Class of 2015, all of who committed in a 24-hour window. Charlie Fessler and Jelani Roberts made their pledges Monday.

The 6-foot-2 Green took multiple visits to campus this spring, and met with former Wildcat wide receiver Jeremy Ebert in April. Green cultivated a strong relationship with Dennis Springer. He tallied 890 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns for the Stevenson Patriots last fall.

Green becomes the 15th member of the Class of ‘15. Northwestern will likely round out its class with a quarterback, kicker and two defensive backs.
