Here's the weekly wrapup of how our Football
commits played.
Ramon Diaz: [Morris Community HS, Morris, IL]

The 12-0 Morris Redskins continued their roll through the Div 5A playoffs with a big win over Metamora 21-7.
The Redskins domination of the Line of Scrimmage for rushing ground to
a halt, as they were able to only rush for 88 yards against a tough
Metamora defense. They had been averaging 243 yards a game.
The 'skin's passing game came through for 120 yards and 2 TDs.
Next up for Morris is #2 seeded Geneseo Darnall [11-1] for the right to
play the winner of Joliet Cathoic [11-1] or Jacksonville [10-2]
RB/DB Tyrell Sutton: [Archbishop Hoban Knights
- Akron OH]
Finished his high school season with a sore back and a loss to last year's Division III winner Cleveland Benedictine.
Sutton finished the game with 267 yards on 44 carries and a 1
touchdown. He finishes the season with 3,241 yards [now 5th on the all
time Ohio list] and 36 touchdowns and had an Ohio State High School
record 9,438 career rushing yards. [from the Hoban Official Site]
Saturday's game was also a Ohio record 38 consecutive 100 yard games for Sutton.
After the game, the opposing coach had nothing but praise for the NU bound runner.
We had to gang tackle him, that's how
physical (Sutton) is,'' Benedictine coach Art Bortnick said. [in Ohio.com] ``It's no
accident that he's right up there with the best backs. His legs never
stop. He always leans forward. He's very powerful. He knows how to get
that tough first down.
The next big honor that's still hanging is the title of Mr. Ohio
Football, NU Signing Day, and then Graduation for Sutton, who also
sports a 3.5 GPA at the Akron school.
