Siemian becomes third 2010 commit

It took a little while, but the commitments for 2010 are now rolling in. Following a pair of football players from the South, Orlando native Trevor Siemian announced his commitment to NU, becoming the third player in the last week to commit. Details on Siemian inside.

Orlando quarterback Trevor Siemian became the third Northwestern commit for the class of 2010 over the weekend. The 6-3, 180-pound Siemian joins Louisiana linebacker Collin Ellis and fellow Floridian Shontrelle Johnson, a running back, as the first trio to commit to Northwestern.

A one-star prospect, Siemian threw for 1,964 yards and 18 touchdowns -- to just five interceptions -- as a junior. He also ran for 250 yards and five TDs.

Siemian also had offers from Tulane, Duke, Syracuse and a handful of others.

Check out Siemian's player page, where you can find a pair of Scout.com videos that show some of what the signal-caller can do.
