It started with 6 points from outside the arc from Senior Forward Winston Blake.

It ended with another double double from Valdimir Radinovic as the Ohio State Buckeyes defeated Northwestern 52-48.

The NU Wildcats led by as many as 11, but it was only a 1 point difference at the half. Even so, Ohio State's record is 3-11 when they trail at the turn, Winston Blake was sinking 3 pointers again, and the Cats' had survived a 10-0 run at the end of the half. So what happened Coach Bill Carmody?
I don't know, they played zone early and we were making shots, getting the shots we wanted, and they actually went to man-to-man, which I was happy [about] and we were standing around a lot, like we were statues out there and maybe the zone did that to us, there was no movement at all.
So the OSU Zone put the "whammy" on the Cats...
They stayed with zone pretty much the second half and we couldn't get the ball inside , and when we did get it inside we were'nt productive .. shots weren't falling.
then there was the rebounding stat - OSU 42 NU 24. Even worse were the offensive rebounds - OSU 16, NU 4
They missed 30 shots, they got  20 rebounds.
WGN's Dave Eanet asked if when the Cats were up by 10, did the Coach think that a few more baskets would have been the knockout blow?
It appeared that way, they appeared ready to fall, I think our guys felt that but they turned the ball over ... we had to run our offense, we were trying to quick hit  kinds of things - it was a discouraging game because it was clearly a game we could win.
Leading the Wildcats in scoring was Senior Winston Blake with 12 Points on 4 - 3 pointers and 5 rebounds. T.J. Parker also hit in double figures with 10, but he shot 2-10 from the field. Jitim Young added 9 points and 4 rebounds. Mohamed Hachad scored 7 with 6 rebounds. Jason Burke finished his Welsh Ryan career with 6 and Aaron Jennings scored 4.

For the Buckeyes Brent Darby was 5-14 [2-4] but finished with 17 points. Valdimir Radinovic had his second double-double against NU this year scoreing 14 with 12 rebounds.

Next up for the Wildcats is Iowa,  a team that beat NU inside in the Big 10 Opener....

I don't know what to do, honestly...[Tonight] I went to Davor and Winston and they didn't get it in there...what's the answer, I'm not sure...we have to do something, but  I don't know, I just don't know because they get the ball inside us at will
And the final word from Bill Carmody at Welsh Ryan?
thanks for coming out tonight...everybody... this year/ Appreciate it.
