Dillon Romain is part of a three-headed monster in the backfield at Don Bosco Prep School with Tony Jones and Guy Germinario, however his workload is about to go up significantly after this season when Germinario moves to play at the collegiate level. It is very early in recruiting for him right now, but we did catch which schools are showing early interest.
Dillon Romain
, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back from Don Bosco Prep School in Ramsey, N.J., has been sharing the load since his sophomore year out of the backfield and will continue to do so with sophomore phenom
Tony Jones
, however Romain does bring a different skill set to the table then Jones with his north/south running style and very solid size.
“Right now the schools of interest are
Northwestern
,
Penn State
,
Temple
, Northeastern,
Boise State
,
Rutgers
,
Duke
and
Maryland
,” Romain said. “I pretty much like them all the same at this point and am just exploring my options since it is so early.”
The Ironmen take a summer trip every year to Chestnut Hill to camp at
Boston College
and this year was no exception as Romain was able to take in the Eagle experience for himself.
“I had a lot of fun at the Boston College camp as we did a lot of seven-on-seven stuff up there,” Romain explained. “The campus was extremely nice and very big which I definitely liked. It is a nice community there and all of the people were really pleasant.”
As a sophomore, Romain was named first-team All-Conference at running back.
