|
| Meyers is very instinctive. He reads and reacts well and has a keen ability to sift through traffic to make a play. He is very strong physically and you can see that, as he explodes through ball carriers. Moves well laterally sideline-to-sideline. Meyers excels on special teams and is a high motor player who goes non-stop every play. Needs to use his hands more when trying to shed blockers. |
| Biography: |
In ten games as a senior, Meyers rushed 170 times for 1550 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also had 130 tackles, 14 sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception that he returned for a touchdown on his way to being named first-team All-State by every major paper in the state of Connecticut.
As a junior, he carried the ball 135 times for 1140 yards and 23 touchdowns. He added 127 tackles and 10 sacks from his linebacker position on his way to All-County and All-State honors. He was named MVP of the state championship game.
Meyers earned All-American status as a junior at Greenwich High School for lacrosse.
Meyers father Glenn played nose tackle for the Florida Gators in the early 1980's. |
