Trevor Rees (6-2, 269, 4.88) of Pearland Texas is an outstanding center prospect. Since true centers are very hard to find, Rees will definitely be one of the most heavily recruited in 2002 and one of the top linemen in the Houston area.
Max Emfinger: Trevor is probably the best pure center prospect in the state and he led Pearland in pancakes and knockdown blocks for the last two years. He is a very intelligent player and he rarely makes a mistake on the football field. He also has scored a 28 on his ACT test.
Was selected as Pearland's Co-MVP.
As the only Offensive Lineman nominated for the 2002 Houston Touchdown Club Playor of the Year, Trevor has blocked for two 2,000 plus yard/season running backs (2000 and 2002, in 2001 Pearland's two running backs had 3,500 yards combined). Trevor had 65 pancake blocks this year and a three year career total of 165. Trevor has never allowed his defender to sack the quarterback. In 2000 and 2001, the
Parland quarterback was never sacked.
He also likes to add that he had one tackle this year and one carry for ten yards! - linemen keep track of these things
At least one school recruiting Trevor considers him a potential 4 year starter, replacing a graduating Senior who also started all 4 years.
